Do you know what national day it is today? No, not Pi Day (March 14th!), but National Poetry Month! That’s right, for the entire month of April, we celebrate all things poetic. Whether you’re a lifelong poetry lover or just getting into it, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

Did you know that National Poetry Month was founded by the United States Congress in April of 1996? And that it was designed to “enrich lives through poetry”? Poetry can be found in many different forms, and it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced poet, there’s always something new to learn. In this post, we’ll take a look at the history of National Poetry Month, and we’ll also provide some tips for how you can get involved.
